The ocean is the best classroom
NZQA-credited scuba and snorkel programmes for Northland schools provided as a delivery site for the Academy of Diving Trust. NCEA Outdoor Education, high school courses & dive trips and pathways into tertiary and pro diving.
What we offer
Programs for every year level
NCEA Dive Courses
Unit standards for Scuba, Freedive & snorkeling modules, delivered in the pool & ocean around the Bay for PE Classes or school groups.
Years 11–13
Gateway & Trades Academy
Students join us 1 day / week during the school year to complete their dive Training, Open water, Advanced & Rescue Courses.
Years 12 - 13
High school dive trips & Camps
Supervised day trips to Deep Water Cove and the Cavalli Islands for certified students.
Years 10–13
Snorkel & marine studies
Guided snorkel days with marine ID - ideal for junior classes and science units.
Years 5–10
Earn up to 50+ NCEA credits
Every PADI course maps to Level 2–3 NZQA unit standards, so students gain real credits while they learn to dive.

Gear & supervision standards
Every school programme runs to PADI standards and our Qualmark approved SOPs.
Max 1:6 or 1:4 ratios
Instructor-to-student ratios well inside PADI limits in open water.
Serviced rental fleet
7mm wetsuits, BCDs and regulators serviced in-house on schedule.
Oxygen & first aid
Emergency oxygen kits and first aid on every boat and shore site.
Qualified crew
PADI Instructors with current First Aid and police vetting.
Surveyed vessels
Maritime NZ surveyed boats with VHF, EPIRB and life jackets.
Weather-safe planning
Sites chosen on the day for conditions, with backup plans.
