AT A GLANCE
No previous experience required, just good swimming ability and comfort in the water. Complete your eLearning at home, then a pool session and open water sessions. To certify, you’ll show a 90-second static breath-hold, a 25m dynamic swim and a constant-weight dive to 10–16m. Course days may be spread across different dates; check the booking schedule before planning your visit.
WHAT HAPPENS, STEP BY STEP

STEP 01
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE • ELEARNING
After signing up, look out for your PADI access email. Work through freediving theory at your own pace, including the physiology of breath-hold, breathing techniques, equalisation and freediving safety. Complete every knowledge section and the final exam before your water sessions. If you get stuck, call the team for help.

STEP 02
DAY 1 • BREATHE, RELAX, HOLD
Meet the team and get fitted for your low-volume mask, long fins and wetsuit. In the pool, learn relaxed breathing, static apnea and dynamic apnea, and practise buddy safety and rescue skills. Your instructor helps you find calm and extend your breath-hold safely and comfortably.

STEP 03
DAY 2 • INTO THE OCEAN
Take your skills into open water using a buoy and line. Practise duck dives, free immersion and constant-weight technique, working on equalisation and streamlining as you build depth gradually. Refine your technique and complete your constant-weight dive to between 10m and 16m, plus your buddy rescue skills. Certification follows successful completion of the required knowledge and skills, not simply attendance. Back at the shop, debrief and celebrate your first freediving certification. Sites depend on conditions.
