Terms and Conditions for courses
All Courses require a $200 deposit for your online learning to secure your spot on the course: please note that your deposit is non-refundable.
Any Changes can be made to your booking before your course is due to start for a rebooking fee of $150, this includes sickness, Covid-19 and unexpected circumstances in your life that stop you attending the course. Students that are a 'No Show' on the day without any contact via email or phone will be removed from the course and are not entitled to any refund - there are no exceptions.
Course must be completed within 12 months or if the timeframe is over 12 months the student will not be refunded and will have to purchase a new course at the current price.
Terms and Conditions for Trips
If you are using your own gear it is subject to our safety checks. We reserve the right to refuse use of any equipment that does not meet our inspection standards in the interest of your safety.
IMPORTANT: Bookings are essential for all trips, & full payment is required to secure your booking. Please note that payments are only refundable if the trip is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
Before booking please review the PADI medical questionnaire. Answer the medical questions honestly for your safety and ours. If all answers are No you are fit to dive, if you answer Yes to any of the questions, you will need sign off by a Doctor.

We are an accredited PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre. We are committed to delivering PADI Instructor Development Courses and continuing education opportunities to dive professionals. We are proud to be the only store at this level in the Far North.

The Health and Safety at Work (Adventure Activities) Regulations 2016 deal with the provision of adventure activities and this Act requires Dive Operators to be audited and meet safety standards set. An OutdoorsMark certification shows that your organisation has met the highest standard of safety in the adventure activities industry.

Dive Zone Bay of Islands is a 5 Star PADI IDC Training Centre and are the #1 PADI Diver training facility in Northland. Our experienced staff teach beginner divers through to instructor level and beyond.
Established in 2004 by local divers for locals Northland divers, Dive Zone Bay of Islands caters for everyone. From the year-round divers, the holiday makers, the hunter-gathers, the snorkelers, the wreck specialists, the free-divers, the spearfishers, the new divers, the bucket list tickers and all those in between.
Northland and the Bay of Islands have some of the most phenomenal dive sites in the country. Come and let us share our passion for the ocean with you.
Our facility has onsite tank testing and valve servicing, we have service technicians with over 30 years in the dive industry who do onsite dive gear servicing, a fully equipped retail shop, tank fills, nitrox fills and a range of hire gear available. We can help you with anything dive related so come on in and have a chat with us.
